OUR VESSEL

Coastal Messenger

The Coastal Messenger is a custom-design mission boat for west coast waters. At 52-feet length and 15-feet breadth, weighing in at 90,000 pounds (45 ton), and fitted with paravane stabilizers, the vessel is suitable for year-round operation without being so large as to hamper tying at private float homes and docks. The custom-built aluminum skiff is solid to allow beaching to visit people who do not have a dock facility. It is easily launched with the hydraulic davit on the stern. This skiff also serves as a lifeboat in an emergency.

The vessel hull, bulkheads, tanks, and decks are steel construction, while the pilothouse and mast are aluminum. The large fuel and freshwater capacity, and the laundry facilities allow for longer trips to reach more remote areas.

The interior spaces are designed to be spacious and bright for people to visit aboard, whether in the galley, aft cabin, or pilothouse. The aft cabin is fit with a hide-away piano that folds out of a cupboard. The engine room houses the John Deere 6081 marine diesel engine, with a four-to-one reduction gear, spinning a 40-inch propeller. Lots more details could be given, but the best is to see it for yourself, so don’t be shy to ask for a tour.
